Most young women don’t wear a veil though headscarves are still quite popular but even though you might see younger generations in the bigger cities dressing less modestly it’s generally best to dress conservatively and modestly by not showing too much skin. When travelling in more rural areas women should try their best to cover up from wrist to ankle, while men should cover up from the shoulder to just below the knee.
During the holy month of Ramadan, it’s always best to avoid eating, drinking and smoking on the streets.
