Ice Caving

Ice Caving

Gain a unique perspective of the glaciers by hiking into the ice caves and glaciers themselves. This can be an incredibly atmospheric experience – witnessing the blue icy heart of the glacier and hiking through caves that disappear once the temperature rises in the spring. Each year the caves form anew, creating vast halls of crystal-like ice and stunning tunnels draped with icy sculptures all ready to be explored – a fleeting but awe-inspiring event. However, keep in mind you can only visit the ice caves between November and March.
